# Vacancy: Freelance Videographer & Content Creator
**Location:** Johannesburg & Pretoria
**Type:** Freelance
**Start Date:** ASAP
We’re looking for a talented **Freelance Videographer & Content Creator** to work with **Joburg.co.za** and **Pretoria.co.za** — two of South Africa’s leading lifestyle city platforms.
You will be responsible for capturing and editing engaging, high-quality content that brings the spirit of Johannesburg and Pretoria to life across social media platforms.
## Role Overview
- We're looking for someone **street-smart**, **energetic**, and **plugged into** the culture and lifestyle of Johannesburg and Pretoria.

## Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and edit creative short-form video content.
- Deliver platform-specific content (vertical format, captions, music, trend-driven edits).
- Propose new ideas and stay aligned with local and international social trends.
- Manage your own time, planning and executing shoot days independently.
- Optimize video outputs using AI tools where appropriate (bonus)
## Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a videographer, editor, and/or social content creator (portfolio/showreel required)
- Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar)
- Strong understanding of short-form content, trends, and platform best practices Own camera, audio, and editing equipment
- Based in Johannesburg or Pretoria with reliable own transport
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
- **Bonus:** Experience using AI tools for editing, captioning, or creative content generation
- **Bonus:** Drone license and drone shooting skills
## Required Monthly Deliverables
| Shoot Days | 4–6 full days per month |
| --- | --- |
| Edited Short-Form Videos | 20–30 videos optimised for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn |
| Event Coverage | 1–2 major events or special features per month |
| Trend-based Content Suggestions | 2–3 proposals per month (optional but encouraged) |
