# Vacancy: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: **Remote (South Africa)**
Type: **Independent Contractor**
**Velocity** is looking for a highly motivated **Sales Development Representative (SDR)** to join our fast-paced sales team. If you are resilient, goal-oriented, and thrive in **high-volume phone-based sales** **environments**, this opportunity is for you.
As an SDR, you’ll be on the front lines of our **outbound strategy**, primarily focused on **cold calling** and **booking qualified meetings** with decision-makers in marketing, sales, IT, and revenue operations roles across our target verticals. You’ll be **supported with enriched lead lists, proven scripts, and world-class infrastructure,** allowing you to focus on what matters: **starting high-quality sales conversations.**
## What You'll Be Doing:
- Make high-volume cold calls per day to targeted leads
- Book qualified meetings for our Business Development Managers
- Use HubSpot to manage outreach workflows
- Follow scripts and qualifying criteria, but adapt to real-time prospect needs
- Record all activity, outcomes, and notes in HubSpot
- Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and RevOps team to improve outreach messaging
## What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales with 1+ year of phone-based sales or outbound cold calling experience
- Strong verbal communication and objection-handling skills
- Comfortable working in a high-output, performance-based culture
- Based in South Africa with stable internet
- Bonus: Experience with HubSpot, Apollo, or Sales Navigator
## Target Metrics:
- 80 calls per day
- 15–20% connection rate
- 5+ qualified meetings booked per week
